Miley Cyrus Album Debuts At No. 1
Miley Cyrus tops the charts. Her Web site says "Breakout" is debuting as the No. 1 album, selling 372,000 copies.
Half of her previous No. 1 CD featured her performing as Hannah Montana. The new one is 100 percent Miley. She co-wrote eight of the album's 13 songs.
N.Y. Jewelry Company Sues Wyclef Jean
The company founded by the New York businessman known in the hip-hop world as "Jacob the Jeweler" has sued Wyclef Jean, claiming he owes money for watches and jewelry he bought.
Jacob and Company Incorporated says in Manhattan court papers filed Tuesday that the hip-hop star bought several items between March 2002 and January 2006 for $765,100. The company says Jean still owes $319,680, despite "repeated demands for payment."
Several representatives for Jean didn't immediately respond to e-mails requesting comment.
The company's founder, Jacob Arabov, was sentenced in June to 2½ years in federal prison for lying to investigators of a multi-state drug ring.
Arabov was known as the "King of Bling" to customers who included Madonna, Elton John and Kanye West.
Alicia Keys, Jack White To Sing 007 Theme
Producers say Alicia Keys and Detroit native Jack White have recorded the theme song for the new James Bond film, "Quantum of Solace."
The R&B singer and White Stripes frontman have teamed up for "Another Way to Die," the first duet to be chosen as a Bond theme.
Producers say White wrote and produced the song and also plays drums, as well as sings with Keys.
Previous Bond themes have been performed by the likes of Paul McCartney, Duran Duran and Madonna.
"Quantum of Solace" sees Daniel Craig return as suave secret agent 007. It's due for release this fall.

Pearlman May Testify Against Fellow Inmate
Florida prosecutors say imprisoned boy-band impresario Lou Pearlman may testify against a fellow jail inmate accused of gunning down an Orlando police officer.
The Orlando Sentinel reports Wednesday that Pearlman provided key information after overhearing conversations with 19-year-old shooting suspect Davin Smith. Smith and another man have pleaded not guilty in the October killing of police officer Alfred Gordon.
Prosecutors say the information Pearlman provided is useful and he may be called to testify at Smith's trial in November.
Founder of the Backstreet Boys and N'Sync bands, Pearlman pleaded guilty earlier this year to fraud and conspiracy after swindling banks and investors out of some $300 million. He is serving a 25-year prison sentence.
Jerry Lewis Doesn't Travel Lightly
Police say they have confiscated a gun belonging to Jerry Lewis that was found in the 82-year-old entertainer's carry-on bag as he prepared to fly to Detroit from Las Vegas.
Las Vegas policeman Bill Cassell said Tuesday that the actor was cited Friday for carrying an unloaded concealed weapon at the Las Vegas airport.
Lewis' manager, Claudia Marghilano, says the handgun is a hollowed-out prop gun that Lewis sometimes twirls during his show. She tells The Associated Press that the gun couldn't fire.
Marghilano says Lewis didn't know the gun was in the bag along with other props.
Cassell says if the gun were merely a prop "it wouldn't be a weapon and we couldn't cite him for carrying a weapon."
Fergie: "Thrilled" To Play A Prostitute In "Nine"
Fergie is excited about adding the role of a prostitute to her acting portfolio.
The Grammy-winning singer has been cast as Saraghina in "Nine," a big-screen adaptation of the Tony-winning musical. She will perform the saucy song "Be Italian" with Guido, played by Daniel Day-Lewis.
"She's basically a prostitute on the beach," Fergie told The Associated Press in an interview. "She introduces him to the world of sexuality. It's a very strong song. I'm just thrilled I get to play a character. I'm singing, but I'm not singing as myself. I'm going to be singing as a character, and that's what's really exciting to me."
Fergie, 33, joins Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench and Kate Hudson in "Nine," directed by Rob Marshall ("Chicago"). Filming is set to begin in October. Fergie, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, had minor roles in the "Poseidon" and "Grindhouse" movies.
"I'm speechless," she said of the opportunity to work with the film's A-list talent. "I'm definitely going to be a sponge on set. I want to pick up on everything that all these brilliant actors are bringing to the table. I'm probably going to be the quietest that I've ever been while working just because I want to watch and learn."
She was in Las Vegas on Monday to debut her two new shoe lines at the World Shoe Association show in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Fergie, who released her hit-packed solo album "The Duchess" in 2006, said she's now in the studio working on a new album with the Black Eyed Peas, their first new record since 2005's "Monkey Business."
"It's a new sound," she said. "We're going into the future. We're not doing the same old thing. We're not trying to copy what's out there on the radio. We're being artistic and pushing the envelope."
