Bush Versus The Kids

It's all about the kids this week for congressional Democrats.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched a series of radio ads this week against eight House Republicans who voted against the expansion of a popular children's health care program.

Congressional Democrats have borrowed a page from the Republican campaign playbook by simplifying the children's health care issue (President Bush versus the children) and beating GOP lawmakers over the head with that message.

In the most recent installment, the Democrats' campaign arm seeks to apply more pressure on these eight Republicans in mixed districts. They include Reps. Steve Chabot in Ohio, Thelma Drake in Virginia, Tom Feeney in Florida, Sam Graves in Missouri, Joe Knollenberg in Michigan, Randy Kuhl in New York, Jim Saxton in New Jersey and Tim Walberg in Michigan.
