Bus Brawl Caught on Video

Two women have been charged after a fight with a Detroit city bus driver that another passenger caught on video.

City transportation director Lovevett Williams says the women, whoare friends, became enraged after the driver picked one of them up at a stop but closed the doors and drove off before the second could board.

Williams says the driver stopped when he realized what had happened to enable the other woman to get on.

Witnesses say the two women, still agitated, exchanged words with the driver and started the fight, grabbing him and refusing to let go. The driver eventually resorted to kicks to get free. Then the women got off, and the driver contacted police, saying he'd been assaulted by two passengers.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy says the women have been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery. Williams says the driver hasn't been disciplined.
