Burglar takes bath, gets clean...and arrested, say N.M. cops

(CBS/AP) ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Instead of making a clean getaway, a suspected burglar chose to take a bath, according to police in Albuquerque who arrested one Ronald Daniels, Jr.

KOB-TV reports Daniels was charged with burglary Sunday after he allegedly walked into a home that was left unlocked, and got in the tub, half-naked.

According to a criminal complaint, that's how a woman and her daughters found the intruder when they returned home Sunday. The woman said Daniels asked her not to call the police and offered her money before fleeing the scene.

But she did, and Daniels was arrested.

Police say Daniels told officers he felt comfortable in the home (evidently!)

The former La Cueva High School football star played one season at Texas Tech before getting kicked off the team for violating team rules.
