Building world's largest passenger plane

It's the largest industrial building in Europe and yes, it is a sight to behold. Just outside of Toulouse, France, Airbus' A380 gets assembled in the town of Blagnac.

As CNET's Daniel Terdiman points out, there are longer planes out there - including Airbus' own A340-600, and Boeing's 777-ER and 747-8 Intercontinental. However, none are able to carry more passengers. The reason: the A380 is a full double-decker plane, the first of its kind. Few "civilians" ever get in the doors to see this process up-close but Terdiman was recently granted permission to view the assembly process used to build these double-decker behemoths. You can read his full report here.
