He is the author of "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised: Democracy, the Internet and the Overthrow of Everything.
Trippi is a former Harvard fellow and a political analyst. He is currently not affiliated with an active presidential campaign.
He was the manager of Howard Dean's 2004 presidential campaign where he led the effort to harness emerging technological tools like social networking groups and Internet fundraising.
Trippi has worked on seven Democratic presidential campaigns, beginning with Ted Kennedy's 1980 presidential effort. Other presidential campaigns he has worked on: Walter Mondale (1984) and Richard Gephardt (1988).
Trippi began his career at the Democratic consulting firm of Doak, Shrum and Associates.
