The pop star and songwriter Diane Warren will donate a video for "I Was Here," which will be filmed in the UN General Assembly Hall in New York in front of a live audience. The clip will premiere Aug. 19 on World Humanitarian Day, and the UN hopes it will help the campaign reach 1 billion people. "I Was Here" first appeared on Beyonce's 2011 album, "4."

The campaign website launched Thursday and allows people to share individual acts of good. Beyonce says in the statement that World Humanitarian Day is a chance to work together and "this is our time to leave our mark on the world."

"We all see the headlines and we think what can I really do to help?", Beyonce said in a statement. "World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference. This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care."

Meanwhile, Beyonce may have her sights set on becoming a director and producer. According to the Los Angeles Times, she's been pitching a feature documentary about her life and career, which would feature interviews and concert footage.
