Baby jogger recall: Complete product info to keep baby safe
(CBS) Attention, joggers: About 1,500 fabric "jump seats" used in conjunction with baby joggers are being recalled over concerns that they may not lock in place, putting youngsters at risk of falling out.
There have been four reports of children falling from the seats, resulting in scrapes, bruises, cuts, and a broken nose, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The Chinese-made seats (model J7J50) are an accessory used with strollers sold by Baby Jogger LLC, including the Baby Jogger City Elite, Baby Jogger City Classic, and Baby Jogger Summit. They were sold at retailers from January 2008 through July 2010 for a cost of about $100.
Consumers are urged to stop using the jump seats and contact Baby Jogger to learn how to obtain and install a set of safety straps.
The company can be reached at 877 506 2213 and at www.babyjogger.com.
