The interview is scheduled to air on May 16 and 17, more thanfive years since Winfrey accused Frey on live television of lying in one of his books. During a short promotional clip on Tuesday's episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," an announcer deemed it "the biggest controversy in Oprah show history."

Winfrey selected Frey's substance-abuse story, titled "A Million Little Pieces," for her book club in September 2005, make it a million-seller.

In January 2006, the 41-year-old author revealed on the show that he had embellished  details  in his book. The talk show queen, deeply upset by the revelation, told him she felt duped and that he had betrayed millions of readers.

Winfery's show will come to an end on May 25 after 25 years.
