Armstrong Iowa New Coach?
Iowa athletic director Bob Bowlsby has refused to comment on a report claiming former Hawkeyes point guard B.J. Armstrong will interview for the school's coaching job.
The report was posted on an internet site, but cited no sources.
Iowa coach Tom Davis, whose contract was not extended last year, is stepping down after this season, his 13th with the Hawkeyes.
Armstrong, who plays for the Charlotte Hornets, played at Iowa under Davis from 1986-89. He is No. 2 on Iowa's career assist list with 517 and is the school's fourth leading career scorer with 1,705 points.
