Archivist builds Noah's Ark for books on the web
(CBS/AP) - Some people think the web will eventually do away with printed books. But one Internet pioneer is doing his best to make sure that doesn't happen.
He's doing a Noah's Ark kind of deal - trying to preserve a physical copy of every book ever published.
Brewster Kahle is no stranger to trying to preserve things. He's the man who founded the nonprofit Internet Archive in 1996. Its goal was to save a copy of every Web page ever posted.
And even as the use of e-books is expanding, Kahle says "there is always going to be a role for books."
