AP Source: Lindsay Lohan Fails Drug Test
NEW YORK (CBS) Lindsay Lohan may be in trouble once again.
The actress, who recently completed a stint in jail and court-ordered rehab for violating her probation in a DUI case, reportedly failed a drug test.
TMZ.com reports that the court-mandated drug test in question happened last week. According to the terms of the actress' probation, the website states, she could face 30 days in jail for a positive drug test.
The AP reports that a person familiar with the case, who declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter, confirmed the positive test results Friday. The person declined to specify what substance triggered the positive result, which the source said occurred within the last month.
A source connected to Lohan said, "People with addiction problems don't get better magically, and she's really been making an effort to make herself better."
D.A. spokesperson Sandi Gibbons told TMZ that her office has not been "officially notified" of the test results and no court date has been set yet.
Sources close to Lohan told the website that the report is not true, but TMZ says it has confirmed that she did fail a drug test.
