Ankle Sprain Spurs Will Perdue


The sprained right ankle that has kept San Antonio Spurs center Will Perdue out of the lineup five games secured him a spot on the injured list Wednesday.

The 7-foot, 240-pounder suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of San Antonio's 96-82 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second game of the season Feb 6.

  • Perdue averaged 7.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in two games for the Spurs, who are 4-3 this season, two games behind the Utah Jazz in the Midwest Division.

    In his 10th season out of Vanderbilt, Perdue has averaged 5.2 points and rebounds per game in 677 contests with San Antonio and the Chicago Bulls.
