Amtrak passengers are injured tonight after a train crash in Arlington. Police say 12 cars of the passenger train derailed shortly after 7 p-m.

Arlington police spokeswoman Linda Conner confirms injuries on the train. But authorities say the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Reports say 199 passengers were aboard the train.

The westbound train had just left Dallas when the crash occurred.

The National Transportation Safety Board in Washington is gathering details on the crash.

The derailment at a warehouse area occurred just south of the Six Flags over Texas amusement park and The Ballpark in Arlington.
