Add Outlook Data Fast with Anagram

anagram.jpgIt's a huge pain to manually copy someone's contact information from his/her e-mail signature to a new record in Outlook. Anagram (Windows) makes it a lot quicker and easier: Just highlight the text you want to add (it can be from an e-mail or any other application), then click the Anagram icon in the system tray. The software immediately populates a new Outlook entry with the selected data, magically putting everything into the proper fields.

Anagram can also turn text into notes, itineraries into calendar entries, instructions into new tasks, and so on. Plus, it supports Palm Desktop as well as Outlook, handy for folks who use a Palm PDA or smartphone. This program's been around for a while, but the latest version supports both Outlook 2007 and Windows Vista. It's definitely a worthwhile addition for anyone who wants to work smarter, not harder. Anagram costs $29.95; there's a 45-day trial version available. [via AppScout]
