2 Dead, 1 Wounded In Charlotte

One person was fatally shot Friday and another person wounded at a trucking terminal when an employee entered the building, fired at a colleague and then turned the gun on himself, authorities said.

It wasn't immediately clear which employee was killed at Watkins Motor Lines in west Charlotte.

The shooter entered the building and "allowed others to get out of the way," said Keith Bridges, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department spokesman. "He then shot the other person before turning the gun on himself."

As for a motive, Bridges said: "We're still looking into it. There was obviously something between the two."
