GEORGE SHOPS FOR A CAR
SALES TIP: No matter what you do, some customers are going to dislike you, simply because you're a sales professional. Usually they're people with weak minds who are paranoid about being manipulated, BTW.
GEORGE MISSES THE CLOSE
SALES TIP: There's a point in every sales cycle when it's the right time to close. Miss it, and you'll end up backtracking, and you could lose the sale for good.
KRAMER ON "REGIS & KATHIE LEE"
SALES TIP: A good sales demonstration always shows something surprising which differentiates your product from the competition.
GEORGE CHECKS OUT THE CLEAVAGE
Explanatory setup: Jerry and George are meeting with a network executive to sell the TV show they invented, when the executive's daughter (played by a young Denise Richards) walks in.
SALES TIP: When you're trying to sell something, keep your mind on what you're doing. And under no circumstances should you dwell on the cleavage of ANYBODY in the room.
ELAINE HELPS THE SALE ALONG
SALES TIP: In contrast to the previous tip, it sometimes be helpful to distract the attention of the customer, if the customer is inclined to be distracted.
JERRY OUTED AS AN "ANTI-DENTITE"
SALES TIP: Never say ANYTHING bad about a customer because, sooner or later, it will come around to bite you.
KRAMER MAKES A HELPFUL SUGGESTION
SALES TIP: When you're selling, it's OK to be helpful. But don't try to be TOO helpful, especially when it's outside your field of expertise.
GEORGE ATTENDS A MEETING
SALES TIP: Let's face it. There are just some meetings that ought to be avoided.
KRAMER GETS FIRED
SALES TIP: A positive attitude will only get you so far. After that, you'd better know what you're talking about.
JERRY MAKES A BIG DECISION
SALES TIP: Sometimes you just gotta be yourself... even if it means losing the sale.
