Something Extra: One Of The Wackiest Polls Ever

MIAMI (CBS4) - When deciding whom to vote for in a presidential election, I'm sure one of the big issues you think about is which candidate would better defend the earth against an alien invasion.

Of course, I'm being sarcastic, but the truth is that a National Geographic Channel survey actually asked that question!

According to the survey, almost two thirds of Americans think President Obama would be better at battling alien invaders than Mitt Romney.

But before you take that too seriously, fifty five per cent of those surveyed think there are Men-in-Black-type agents who threaten people who spot UFOs.

And eleven per cent firmly believe they've seen an alien spacecraft.

What's even crazier to me, seventy-nine per cent say they believe the government is hiding information about UFOs.

Do we really think the government could keep that secret?

A final reason the poll is crazy is that it asked what superhero people would call if aliens attacked.  People chose the Hulk, followed by Batman and Spiderman.

If the people surveyed didn't know the clear answer is Superman... what do they know?
