Davie Officer Shoots Himself In Hand While Focusing On Charging Dog
DAVIE (CBSMiami) – A Davie police officer accidentally shot himself in the hand early Friday morning while attempting to shoot at a charging dog.
It happened in the 1200 block of SW 116th Way.
According to Davie Police Lt. Mark Leone, the officer was on the scene handling a non-criminal incident when a dog charged at him.
In addition to shooting himself in the hand, the dog was grazed by the bullet and is fine.
No other information has been released.
