Just Swim offers private and group lessons for all levels. We provide classes for ages 6 months- adult, using proven methods in a safe and professional environment. The youth center offers learn to swim lessons through the City of Miami Beach. The lessons are taught by American Red Cross trained and certified lifeguards. Class times, prices and dates vary. It's best to check the web or call for the most up-to-date information. Monthly rates start at $50 for Miami Beach residents and $60 for non-residents.

Broward County parks offer a variety of learn-to-swim lessons during the summer and those sessions will resume in May of 2011. Children who are 2 or 3 years old are required to take lessons with a parent. Those older are required to attend the classes, but don't need to be in the water with the child. Fees start at $48 per session.

This program offers private or group sessions for children as young as 2 and the sessions last from 10 to 16 weeks. Students will learn everything from the dog paddle to the "froggy" strokes as those are considered the essential safety skills. Instructors use toys and games to teach survival skills in the water.

British Swim School owner Rita Goldberg says her methods are gradual, gentle and fun. She teaches babies as young as 3-months old to roll over on their backs.
