LA County sheriff says detention facility near Hughes Fire has been evacuated
Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said about 19,000 residents are currently under mandatory evacuation orders for the Hughes Fire, including inmates from a nearby detention center. He anticipates that number will increase as the fire continues to grow and threaten structures.
