A woman identified only as "Jane Doe" is suing music mogul Russell Simmons for $10 million for allegedly raping her in his hotel room.
A woman said in a lawsuit filed Wednesday that Russell Simmons raped her at his Los Angeles home in 2016, joining five other women who have publicly leveled rape allegations against the music mogul.
Simmons vehemently denied what he called "these horrific accusations," saying in a statement emailed to The Associated Press that "all of my relations have been consensual."
Simmons, who founded Def Jam Recordings, said he would resign from his businesses because, "I don't want to be a distraction."
