One of the spring season's most festive holidays is back, and it's always a popular day for brunch and sweets. Spend your Easter weekend around tables filled with roasted meats, tasty fish, seasonal vegetables and colorful, and most likely chocolatey, desserts. Here are a few places around town with Easter culinary celebrations. Reservations for sit-down service is highly recommended.

Herringbone's brunch menu has a number of gems, including sticky buns, steak & eggs and lobster scramble. The Easter specials celebrate land and sea fare. The first, rack of lamb with pistachio and lavender crust, sits atop a creamy beet-pomme purée with pickled onions and roasted heirloom carrots. The second will appeal to seafood lovers--Arctic Char with grilled endive, toasted almonds and blood orange beurre blanc.

DTLA's French bakery and café is a bustling eatery for breakfast and lunch crowds in the area. Pop in over the weekend for dishes like the spring salad of housemade tuna rillette, spinach, mushrooms, oranges and an orange-laced caesar dressing, the savory caprese pancake topped with buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, arugula, and lemon olive oil dressing and housemade chocolate bread. The latter is a sweet sourdough loaf flavored with rich cocoa and dotted with chocolate chips. As for sweets, whimsically decorated eclairs will fill the dessert case, and you'll also find a number of holiday-themed chocolates and candies.

Both of Del Frisco's Grille L.A. locations (Santa Monica and Pasadena) will offer their Easter special on Saturday, April 15th and Sunday, April 16th. In addition to the traditional brunch menu, which includes truffle-chive deviled eggs and lemon cake, the restaurant will serve a hefty 16 ounce slow-roasted USDA prime rib. Sip on the weekend's caffeine-pumped Peepin' Cold Brew - a blended cocktail featuring vanilla vodka, cold brew coffee, salted caramel syrup and a Peep marshmallow topper.

Carbon Beach Club, also known as CBC, recently announced a $90 three-course, prix-fixe menu for Easter Sunday that includes a sommelier's wine pairing for each course. An assortment of breads and pastries precede the meal, followed by your choice of dishes like Baked Eggplant with honey, manchego and brie cheese, tuna tartare with vanilla grapefruit vinaigrette, wild king salmon with saffron farro salad and farmer's market vegetables, Spanish-spiced Lamb Loin a la Plancha, and a flat iron steak with crispy, smashed potatoes. Ricotta Fritters or a Tuscan Torte are two of the highlights on the dessert menu.
