Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits

Admission is free on the first Tuesday of the month to the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits. The world famous Page Museum is home to more than one million Ice Age fossils. Visitors even have the ability to view real paleontology in action at the Fishbowl Lab. The glass-walled Fishbowl Lab is located in the center of the museum and offers a one-of-a-kind view of how fossils are repaired, prepped and cleaned. Outside the Museum, in Hancock Park, life-size replicas of several extinct mammals are featured.

Planetarium Show: The Night Sky Show – Santa Monica College

Bring the whole family down to see the Digistar II planetarium projector as it recreates the celestial wonders of the night sky as you would see it far from city lights in a 50-minute show updated weekly with the latest news in space exploration and astronomy. All shows are in the Planetarium, room 223 on the 2nd floor of Drescher Hall. Tickets are $6 for those 12 and over. Recommended for children 6 and over.
