Vacation For an Hour at Pure Blu Spa

There are so many day spas in Southern California, deciding which one to visit can be stress inducing in itself. Pure Blu – The Spa at Newport Beach offers much to distinguish it in a sea of spa competition.

A visit to Pure Blu, located inside The Newport Beach Marriott, is a real mini-vacation. As you step through the double doors leading into Pure Blu, serenity surrounds you. Once in the spa, you realize how spacious it is: changing areas, private lockers, showers, relaxation lounges, Eucalyptus steam room, sauna, saltwater Jacuzzi, heated saltwater lap pool and coldwater footbaths. Outside, guests have access to the lap pool surrounded by lounge chairs and cabanas along with food and beverage service.

This setting is perfect for a special occasion like a girls' getaway, and cabanas can be reserved at no charge for guests who book a minimum of five 50 minute spa services. Additionally, the two other pools on the hotel property are available for spa guest use.

You do not need to bring a thing with you to Pure Blu, they have everything covered. Comfy robes and slippers, toiletries, razors, hair dryers and even hair elastics are all provided at no extra charge. A full menu of body treatments are offered by a professional staff who make sure you have a superb experience. The signature treatment, Pure Bliss, is an 80 minute slice of spa heaven that includes: body massage, body wrap and an exfoliating scrub. You leave in pure bliss--relaxed, detoxed, exfoliated and hydrated. This treatment would be normally priced at $255, but here is priced at just $150.

Salon services are offered at Perla Hair Studio located inside the spa. If you just need to escape, $40 ($25 for hotel guests) gives you all day (8am-6pm) access to all spa amenities including their state-of-the-art fitness center and outdoor lap pool. Men and women have separate facilities with the relaxation room and outdoor lap pool being co-ed.

The Newport Beach Marriott is home to the West Coast location of the popular Sam & Harry's Steakhouses. The steakhouse and lounge offer a wide variety of American dishes, seafood, sushi and an impressive wine selection. Put the final touch on your spa day with a table on their outdoor terrace where you can enjoy the cozy fire pits.
