US Death Toll Tops 16,500; British PM Boris Johnson Leaves Intensive Care
The U.S. death toll from the coronavirus topped 16,500 on Thursday, as New York reported its highest single-day death toll yet. The virus has sickened more than 1.6 million people across the world, killing over 95,700, according to Johns Hopkins University. In the U.S., there have been more than 465,300 confirmed cases.
