Suspect Killed During Officer-Involved Shooting In Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A suspect was killed Thursday morning during an officer-involved shooting in Hollywood.
Los Angeles police responded to a domestic violence call in the 1800 block of Whitley Avenue around 7:30 a.m., authorities said.
A woman reported an assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence at the hands of her boyfriend.
"We were met with the victim. At which point, the victim directed the officers to where the suspect was located," Sgt. Frank Preciado said. "An officer-involved shooting did occur, and the suspect is deceased."
Investigators are still trying to determine if the suspect had a weapon.
Witnesses said police were at the building Tuesday, but it's unclear whether their presence was related to this incident.
No officers were injured.
