Suspect Arrested After Allegedly Throwing Rocks At Vehicles On 5 Freeway Near Commerce

COMMERCE (CBSLA) -- Both sides of the 5 Freeway in the Commerce area were shut down after a dangerous stunt.

A suspect was allegedly throwing rocks and bricks onto vehicles that were traveling in the northbound lanes.

The California Highway Patrol and L.A. County Sheriff's Department were involved in the investigation.

The suspect, whose name was not released, surrendered without incident and was taken into custody.

A couple of vehicles were damaged, but there is no word on any injuries.
