Super Bowl 50: Is This The 'Last Rodeo' For Peyton Manning?

LOS ANGELES ( — Will Sunday be the last time we see Peyton Manning on the field?

Manning reportedly told New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick following the Denver Broncos' AFC Championship Game win "this might be my last rodeo", according to a report on the NFL's official website.

The 39-year-old quarterback also told "close friends that he expects this to be his last game as well", NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

Manning has yet to confirm any decision on his future, even as recently as Super Bowl 50 Media Night in San Jose on Monday, where he was asked about his career plans after the game.

Manning's response? "I don't know the answer to that question right now."

Still, it seems everyone is preparing for the possibility of bidding farewell to one of the great quarterbacks of the modern era - even the Carolina Panthers.

Panthers fullback Mike Tolbert may have summed up the team's attitude by saying, "We don't really care if this is his last game. He's played what, 18, 19 years? He's had enough, you know what I'm saying? It's our turn."

Super Bowl 50 will be played Feb. 7 on CBS at 3:30 p.m. PST.
