Sun Valley Man Fatally Stabbed On Saturday Morning

SUN VALLEY (CBSLA) — A man was fatally stabbed in Sun Valley on Saturday morning, prompting an investigation from Los Angeles Police Department detectives.

The incident was reported just prior to 8 a.m., and when authorities arrived on the scene, located at the intersection of Cleon Avenue and Stagg Street, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

On Monday, the victim's identity was revealed as Luis Garcia of La Crescenta, 55-years-old.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin over the weekend.

While no additional information on the suspect was available, it was made clear that they are still at large.
