Suspect At Large Following Fatal Shooting Of Man, Wounding Of Woman Outside Palmdale Party

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Detectives are investigating the circumstances Sunday surrounding the shooting death of a man and wounding of a woman in Palmdale.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies were sent just before 12:30 a.m. to the 1600 block of East Avenue Q6.

Deputies pronounced the male victim-- 24-year-old Miguel Perez --  dead on scene.

Officials believe the shooting stemmed from a physical altercation at a birthday party.

The female victim was transported to a hospital. She is reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Alejandro Rivera of Palmdale.

Authorities said Rivera should be considered armed and dangerous. He reportedly fled in a silver or beige Honda.
