1 Rescued After Semi-Truck Shears Fire Hydrant In Glassell Park
GLASSELL PARK (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters Thursday worked to repair a sheared fire hydrant that was struck by a vehicle in Glassell Park.
Shortly before 4:30 a.m., firefighters were sent to the 3100 block of North San Fernando Road at Fletcher Drive.
Upon their arrival, crews located a sheared fire hydrant shooting a geyser of water into the air.

A preliminary investigation revealed a semi-truck struck and sheared the hydrant.
A person became trapped inside a nearby business due to flooding in the area.
Firefighters used a saw to open the door of the business.
