Firefighters Extinguish Blaze At Pharmaceutical Business In Willowbrook

WILLOWBROOK (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters Thursday extinguished a blaze that erupted within a commercial building in Willowbrook.

Just after 2:30 a.m., firefighters were sent to the 100 block of West 131st Street for report of a second alarm fire burning within a one-story building.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, crews went into defensive mode upon their arrival to the scene.

Authorities said the fire burned inside of a pharmaceutical business.

One firefighter sustained an ankle injury while battling the blaze.

Just after 6 a.m., crews extinguished the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
