O.C. Woman Wins More Than $1 Million In Incredible Streak Of Luck

GARDEN GROVE ( — A Santa Ana woman experienced an incredible streak of luck after winning three lottery prizes valued at more than $1 million.

Yamilet Torrez brought some California Lottery Scratchers from Amazon Smoke Shop & Water on Brookhurst Street in Garden Grove, according to a store employee.

"Many people they won something but not really big like this," Moe Biatani said. "She bought one Scratchers. She won $5,000. She wants to try again."

But Torrez's winning streak started earlier last week as California Lottery authorities said she had won $100 on Scratchers.

Biatani says Torrez told him she had a feeling she would win again and wanted to try her luck one more time at the same store.

This time, she bought three Emerald 10's, three Ultimate Riches, and three 50x The Cash Scratchers.

"She bought almost $100 Scratcher again and that's it, she won. She called me. She won $1 million," he said.

Torrez says she plans to buy a new car and help her family with the money she's won.
