Injured Rock Climber Rescued By Helicopter From San Jacinto Mountains
IDYLLWILD (CBSLA.com) — An injured rock climber was safely rescued from the San Jacinto Mountains on Saturday, authorities said.
The climber was found by the Riverside County Fire Department just before 7 p.m. at Suicide Rock, a popular rock climbing destination at 7,000 feet of elevation. The climber was then airlifted by a Riverside County Sheriff's Department helicopter.
The climber was flown to a landing pad and then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
