Homeless Woman In White Robe Arrested For Slashing Tires On Nearly 100 Cars

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A woman is in LAPD custody Wednesday on suspicion of slashing the tires of nearly 100 cars in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles.

A total of 96 vehicles parked in front of residences on Montclair Street, 3rd Avenue, 4th Avenue, and Edgehill Drive were vandalized, police said.

Many of the victims said they first noticed the damage when they went to get into their cars this morning to go to work.

Danielle Brown, 29, who is believed to be homeless, was booked on suspicion of felony vandalism, according to the LAPD.

Home surveillance video showed a woman in a white robe walking up to at least two cars overnight.

Police say they may have found the knife used to slash the tires.

Neighbors, however, were left stunned.

"What's wrong with the people?" said one man. "That's all I wanna know, why she did it."
