Rizzo Ordered To Stand Trial On Conflict-Of-Interest Charge

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The legal woes continue for former Bell administrator Robert Rizzo.

Not only is the embattled former city administrator facing trial for more than 50 counts of fraud, he was ordered Wednesday to stand trial on a conflict-of-interest charge involving a business partner who also served as Bell's city planning director.

Dennis Tarango, who reportedly owned racehorses with Rizzo, testified against Rizzo in court Wednesday.

The judge threw out a charge of misappropriation of public funds.

In this case, Rizzo is scheduled to be arraigned on March 30.
