Report: Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes To Divorce

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are splitting up after more than 5 years of marriage, according to reports.

Cruise, 49, and Holmes, 33, married in November 2006 after a surprise, whirlwind romance that had the "Rock of Ages" star famously jumping on Oprah's couch, declaring his love.

A spokesman confirmed the news to People Magazine.

"This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family," Holmes attorney, Jonathan Wolfe, told People. "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

The couple have a 6-year-old daughter, Suri.

This was Holmes' first marriage and the third for Cruise.
