Lou Reed Of 'The Velvet Undergound' Dead At 71
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Lou Reed has died at the age of 71, according to Rolling Stone magazine.
Best known as guitarist and songwriter for "The Velvet Undergound," the magazine and several other media outlets reported his death on Sunday.
His cause of death has not been released.
Reed reportedly underwent a liver transplant in May.
