Power Outage Reported In Montebello

MONTEBELLO (CBSLA.com) — Southern California Edison (SCE) customers experience a widespread power outage Monday.

Over 2,300 customers in Alhambra, Montebello and Commerce were affected after the outage, which was first reported around 11:30 a.m., according to SCE data.

Equipment problems were cited as the cause of the outage.

Power had been partially restored for approximately 4,100 customers as of 1:00 p.m., but several schools and approximately 900 customers were still without power as of 1:00 p.m.

The cause of the outage was under investigation, according to SCE.
