Pilot Makes Safe Landing At Van Nuys After Engine Failure
VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — A small plane was able to make a safe landing at the Van Nuys Airport on Saturday afternoon after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit following an engine failure.
The incident aboard the single-engine plane was reported to the Los Angeles Fire Department at 12:48 p.m., spokesman Shawn Lenske said, and firefighters and paramedics reported to the scene.
There was no immediate word on what caused the engine failure. No injuries were reported.
