Pasadena Fire Dept. Knocks Down House Fire 1 Mile From Rose Parade Route

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) —The Pasadena Fire Department has knocked down a house fire that erupted Tuesday night one mile north of the Tournament of Roses parade route.

SKY9's Katie Clark reports flames could be seen rising above the residence in the 800 block of N. Oakland Avenue, near the 210 Freeway, shortly before 10 p.m.

Pasadena Fire Department Public Information Officer Lisa Derderian said the fire was extinguished by a team of 20 firefighters within 20 minutes.

Derderian said the fire damaged both the interior and attic of the vacant single-family home.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
