OC Cab Driver Suspected Of Raping Customer; Additional Victims Sought
HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday sought additional victims of a male cab driver who has been arrested on suspicion of raping a customer in Huntington Beach.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a female reported she had been raped by a cab driver after being driven home on Nov. 18, 2014.
During a preliminary investigation, Samy Hakim was identified as the suspect. He was arrested on July 9.
Police said Hakim drives a taxi for Huntington Beach Yellow Cab and frequents the Huntington Beach and Newport Beach areas. He has been known to frequently work weekend nights.
