Teen killed, man wounded in Moreno Valley shooting; 52-year-old suspect arrest

One teenager was killed and another was wounded during a shooting in Moreno Valley earlier this week, resulting in the arrest of a 52-year-old suspect. 

In a news release shared by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, deputies said they were called to the 13000 block of Glorybower Street at around 6:35 p.m. on Thursday for reports an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, deputies found two victims, both male, at a local fire station suffering from gunshot wounds. 

Both of the victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where one later died. The victim has only been identified as a 17-year-old Moreno Valley resident.

The second victim, 18, remains in stable condition, deputies said.

On Friday, investigators with RSO's Central Homicide Unit identified the suspect as 52-year-old Moreno Valley man Manuel Gomez. He was taken into custody in the 13000 block of Glorybower Street and booked for murder, deputies said.
