Missing BOBCAT Loader, Motorcycles Found At Home Of Lancaster Man
LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) — A Lancaster man faced charges Wednesday for allegedly stealing heavy construction equipment, several motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).
Wayne Willis was arrested by Los Angeles County Sheriff's investigators after deputies responded to 20th Street West and Lancaster Boulevard after a BOBCAT Loader Model 863 was reported stolen, according to the LASD Lancaster Station.
The loader, which was reported missing by construction workers early Wednesday morning, was equipped with a LoJack tracking device, and a short time later, the vehicle was located at a residence in the 44000 block of Date Avenue, authorities said.
Additional items were also discovered and confiscated during the execution of a search warrant, according to authorities.
Nearly 100 items were confiscated, including motorcycles and ATVs not registered to the owner, as well as generators and serialized construction power tools.
Willis was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and transported to the Lancaster Station Jail, where he's being held on $35,000 bail.
