PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Crews on Tuesday worked to overturn a big rig truck that jack-knifed on the 210 Freeway in Pasadena.
Around 4:30 a.m., a McDonald's tractor trailer overturned in the westbound lanes of the freeway due to heavy rain showers, according to officials.
A SigAlert has subsequently been issued for the 210 Freeway/134 interchange until further notice.
CBS2's Jasmine Viel reported from the scene melted dairy products were seen leaking from the truck into the roadway.
At this time, dozens of drivers remain stuck in their vehicles.
Other big rig drivers explained the area of the freeway is notoriously dangerous when it rains as oil slicks the roadway.
Caltrans and a semi-tow truck have been sent to the scene to slide the trailer out of the area.
No injuries were reported.
