Matt Kemp Officially Traded To Padres

LOS ANGELES ( - The trade between the Dodgers and the San Diego Padres, involving outfielder Matt Kemp, is a done deal, according to the team.

Early Thursday, reports said that the deal may not go through as a physical performed on Kemp revealed arthritis on both hips.

"The Dodgers officially acquire Yasmani Grandal, Joe Wieland and Zach Eflin from @Padres for Matt Kemp, Tim Federowicz & cash considerations," the team announced on twitter late Thursday.

Trade news came out on Dec. 10 when Kemp announced on his Instagram account that he will get traded to the Padres.

"It is with a lot of emotion that I say goodbye to the city and the fans who have been there since the beginning of my career. You have given me so much," he wrote. "Your faith and support for the last 9 years through good times and bad, homestands and home runs was showcased through the volume of your cheers and the love for your team."

Along with Kemp, the Dodgers are expected to send Tim Federowicz pay and $32 million to the Padres and receive catcher Yasmani Grandal, right-handed pitcher Joe Wieland and right-handed pitcher Zach Eflin
