Man stabbed to death on Metrolink platform in Sylmar
The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for a man who stabbed a person to death on a Metrolink platform in Sylmar.
Officers said the stabbing happened just before 2:10 p.m. at the station along the 12200 block of Frank Modugno Drive. The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle before officers arrived.
LAPD said it set up a perimeter in the surrounding area and located the suspect barricaded inside a nearby motel.
The standoff lasted for about an hour until LAPD's SWAT team arrested the suspect.
