Man Pleads No Contest To 2007 Stabbing Death Of His Mother
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Prosecutors say a 29-year-old man has pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in the 2007 stabbing death of his mother at her Calabasas home.
The Los Angeles County district attorney's office says Jesse Bernard Winnick was immediately sentenced Wednesday to 15 years to life in prison.
Deputy District Attorney Edward Nison says Hadas Winnick was killed on Sept. 25, 2007. Her body was discovered by her daughter.
Winnick was a Canoga Park High School math teacher.
