BREA (CBSLA.com) —Police amped up patrols Tuesday at a high school in Brea after a man reportedly grabbed a teenage girl while she was running with a cross-country teammate.

A 17-year-old and 15-year-old from Brea Olinda High School were training on Birch Street, just west of North Associated Road, around 2:30 p.m. Monday when they were confronted by the suspect, according to Brea police Sgt. Jim Griffin.

The man held out both arms as the girls approached him.

The suspect then grabbed the 15-year-old by the arm before she shoved him away.

Both teens ran to the police station to report the incident.

The suspect was described as white, 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with light brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white, button-down dress shirt and khaki pants.

Anyone with information about the man's whereabouts was asked to call Brea police at (714) 990-7624.
